The Norton fine-grit household knife and tool abrasive sharpener is an oval
280-grit silicon carbide oilstone attached to a wooden handle, suitable for
circular-motion sharpening and maintenance of cutting tool edges; it sharpens

The silicon carbide stone used for this tool is fast-cutting and offers

silicon carbide to a consistent particle size and blending it with bonding
agents. It is then molded and surface-finished. This 7-1/2 inch sharpener,
suitable for hand sharpening, has a 3-inch oval stone and a 4-1/2-inch wooden
handle. The oilstone portion of the sharpener must be lubricated with oil
before use, to prevent metal from bonding with the abrasive surface of the
stone. It conforms to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
