King Floyd’s Orange Bitters has been very well received since introduced to our first loyal “Floydians”.
KING FLOYD'S approached this classic flavor profile a bit differently than the typical Orange Bitters. Among some other secret ingredients, we use Citrus x aurantium, a special orange known for the bitterness of its peel. Typically used in culinary applications, this ingredient adds a very distinguished flavor to your cocktails.
We start the process by sourcing the finest ingredients available. Then we percolate and macerate the freshly ground herbs and spices for up to two months to ensure a robust flavor. We then blend the ingredients with neutral grain spirit, and filtered water, then we let time and nature work its magic. We stir and taste the mixture while it extracts all the essential flavors into the spirit. When the mix has matured to the desired depth of flavor, and its aromas are strong and vibrant, we filter the bitters, and add just the right amount of maple syrup to slightly sweeten the blends before bottling. Here at King Floyd’s we're obsessed with creating the finest handcrafted bitters in the world. San Francisco’s Bitters Company Floydian Vannilla Orange Old Fashion:
In a mixing glass combine the following:
-Slice a vanilla bean down the middle and empty the contents into the glass alongside the stock.
-Add one Sugar Cube
-3-5 Dashes King Floyd’s Orange Bitters
-Muddle together all of the vanilla beans, sugar cube, and bitters into a paste.
-Add 2oz Premium Bourbon or Rye of Choice
-Ice
