비휴는 중국의 설화 속에 등장하는 재물을 불러오는 신성한 동물입니다.
설화 속 비휴는 용왕의 9번째 아들로 금은보화를 무척 좋아해서 그것만 먹고살았다고 합니다.
옥황상제도 비휴를 총애해 항상 곁에 두었다고 하는데요, 비휴의 주체할 수 없는
식탐으로 사방의 금은보화를 다 먹어치우고 아무 데나 배설을 하고 다녀
옥황상제가 화가 많이 나서 하루는 엉덩이를 한번 세게 때렸는데, 그 후
항문이 막힌 비휴는
금은보화를 먹기만 하고 배출은 하지 못하고 뱃속에 쌓아만 두었다가 자기가 사는 집으로
