Tired of stripping out your brake drums? Here's the solution. Try this Heavy Duty Hub/Drum and consider your problem solved. Made of carbon steel. It is important that you use manufacturer's recommended spline lube (like anti-seize) to prevent stripping of splines. The 24-spline will use a 5/8-18 UNF thread and should be torqued to 90-115 ft.-lbs. Once you have reached the torque spec, if the castellated nut doesn’t line up with the hole in the axle shaft for the cotter pin, only tighten further enough to align the two. It is also important that you know the year, make, model and spline count on your golf cart before purchasing this brake drum & hub. Will NOT fit gas golf carts or carts that do NOT have a 24 spline count. Electric carts have a smaller spline(24 spline) and Gas carts have a larger spline(30 spline). It is important that you know the size of the spline before purchasing this brake drum. Some electric carts may have the larger spline and gas carts could have the smaller spline, depending on whether or not your cart has been modified. Please verify before ordering.
