段银钟,1976年5月毕业于第四军医大学(现空军军医大学)口腔医学院。1986年和1990年在第四军医大学获口腔医学硕士和口腔医学博士学位。1991年至1993年赴日本大阪大学齿学部研修。曾任第四军医大学口腔医院正畸科教授、主任医师、博士生导师。任《中华口腔正畸学杂志》等10余家杂志的编委。从事正畸专业45年。享受政府特殊津贴。长期工作于口腔正畸医疗、教学、科研第一线。积极引进国内外先进临床技术,对骨性错颌的早期矫治,正畸-正颌联合矫治,临床推磨牙远移,种植体支抗在口腔正畸中的临床应用,埋伏牙导萌治疗等有较深入的研究。先后获陕西省科技进步奖一等奖1项,军队、省部级科技进步奖、全军医疗成果奖二等奖6项,三等奖3项,专利2项。2005年度获军队总后勤部育才奖银奖。主持国科金、省市课题、军队后勤部科研基金10余项。

主编《口腔正畸治疗学》等20部专著。在国内、外学术期刊上发表文章345篇,其中SCI收录文章49篇。培养硕士研究生67名,博士研究生44名,博士后1名。先后赴日本、美国、法国、澳大利亚、韩国、泰国、新加坡讲学并参加学术活动。举办学习班和讲演380余场。学术任职:国际正畸联盟会员,口腔正畸专业委员会会员等。
