北京大学附属医院妇产科及新生儿专业教授,主任医师,中国蒙特梭利学会终身教授,世界中联儿童保健与健康教育专委会会长,世界中联小儿推拿专业委员会副会长,山西运城少儿推拿学校名誉校长,北京保护健康协会妇女儿童专委会长,中国*及关工委早教项目首席专家,中国优生科学协会与中国优生优育协会常务理事,《中华中西医杂志》《中国生育健康》等杂志常务编审。
1966年毕业于北京医科大学,同年到北京大学附属医院妇产科任职。1982年开始从事围产及新生儿专业医疗、科研、教学,其间在本院进修学习新生儿相关专业一年。 1984年跟随美国心理学博士布雷寿顿(Dr.Brazelton)研究婴幼儿神经行为发展,并在北京师范大学学习发展与教育心理学研究生课程两年半。1992年研习了“儿童感觉统合失调治疗”的理论体系,推出了以“感觉教育”为理论核心的早期教育理念及方法。由于当时特殊需要儿童急剧增多,家庭教育指导的紧急需要,协同业内著名专家,于1995年春创建了“北方圣童儿童发展研究中心”,针对特殊需要儿童及婴儿心理情绪进行矫治20余年。

脑性瘫痪(cerebralpalsy,CP),简称脑瘫,由发育不成熟的大脑(产前、产时或产后)先天性发育缺陷(畸形、宫内感染)或获得性(早产、低出生体重、窒息、缺氧缺血性脑病、核黄疸、外伤、感染)等非进行性脑损伤所致,患病率为每1000个活产儿中有2.0~3.5个。在脊髓灰质炎得到控制以后,脑瘫已成为导致儿童残疾的重要疾病。脑瘫的病因较多,脑损害既累及大脑皮层,又累及脑髓质;既有大脑损伤,又有小脑、脑干损害。所以,脑瘫患儿临床出现的功能障碍往往错综复杂,既有中枢性运动障碍与姿势反射发育异常、运动模式发育异常,又常并存智力低下、心理行为障碍、感知觉障碍、语言障碍、吞咽障碍及视听障碍等。脑瘫的康复治疗涉及面广、内容较多,其结果是病情复杂,生物医学康复困难,康复治疗周期长、花费大、难度高、治愈率低。如能早发现、早干预、早康复,可降低高危儿残疾的发生率和减轻残疾的程度。
