当前,在影像诊断技术、分子生物学诊断技术、外科和放射治疗技术及新型治疗药物快速发展的带动下,胸部肿瘤的诊治已经与以往大不相同,进入了个体化治疗的新时代。例如,CT筛查的普及使得早期肺癌的诊断水平逐渐提高,早期肺癌的患者以年轻、不吸烟人群为主,通过微创手术治疗,可以取得良好的效果,他们中的大多数能够痊愈;局部晚期肺癌患者通过综合治疗,可以显著延长生存期;晚期肺癌患者通过基因检测等技术明确分子分型,采用合适的靶向治疗或免疫治疗方法,也有机会实现肿瘤的良好控制;通过合理运用手术、放射治疗、化学治疗和免疫治疗等手段,食管癌患者的生存率也显著提升。
