在方药用量心得方面，本书对第1版中“中医内科辨治心法”篇章所列的“方药总括”部分的方药进一步补充，添加了对黄芪、枸杞、乌头、吴茱萸、水蛭、黄药子、吉林人参等中药的解读和临床应用法则。同时，本书再版内容添加了仝小林教授的“霸药”“霸方”的相关理论，为临床医家遣方用药提供了创新思路。
