在近十几年里,随着微电子技术和数字化图像处理能力的突飞猛进,心脏超声诊断设备更加便携,图像愈发清晰锐利,工作模式也发生了翻天覆地的变化。技术的进步使得更多的医师(包括急诊科医师、重症监护医师及麻醉科医师)有机会自己拿起超声探头为患者进行检查,通过即时床旁超声心动图检查,评估解剖结构及血流动力学状态,并迅速地判断导致血流动力学不稳定的可能原因,如低血容量、左心衰竭或右心衰竭、心包积液和明显的瓣膜疾病。
