编写内容包括：医院感染的基本概念、分类、医院感染管理的组织体系及制度建设、医院感染的意义、存在问题及进展，医院感染的流行病学特点、医院感染监测的定义、分类及监测方法、医院感染暴发的定义、调查与控制，医院感染的诊断标准、消毒与灭菌、医院感染的预防与控制基本措施，包括标准预防、手卫生、个人防护、隔离、职业暴露的处置、传染病的医院感染防控、医院建筑布局、医废处置、环境卫生学监测、医院感染病原学、多重耐药菌、重点部位（呼吸科相关肺炎、导尿管相关尿路感染、血管导管相关感染、手术部位感染）的医院感染防控、重点科室（手术室、消毒供应中心、产房、新生儿、重症监护室、感染性疾病科、移植病房、口腔门诊、内镜中心、血液透析中心、隔离病房、发热门诊等）的医院感染防控。
熊莉娟，现为华中科技大学同济医学院附属协和医院医院感染管理科主任，主任医师。从事感染性疾病临床及研究二十余年。以作者或通讯作者在Critical Care，Journal of Hospital Infection，中华传染病杂志，中国病毒学，中华医院感染学杂志，中国消毒学杂志上发表论著40余篇，SCI13篇，主编《远离脂肪肝》, 《脂肪肝的合理用药与膳食》，参与编写《传染病学》、《人类病毒性疾病》、《病毒性出血热》、《新发感染病及其临床对策》等十余部书籍；参与制定多项国家和团体标准及专家共识指南，主持并参与多项国家自然基金课题，主持并参与多项省级题课。作为两个子课题负责人参与2000万的中国工程院与腾讯基金项目。担任湖北省医院协会院感专业委员会主任委员、中国卫生监督协会消毒与感染控制专业委员会副主任委员、国家卫生健康标准委员会医院感染控制标准委员会常委，被评为首届湖北省公共卫生领军人才（层次）。
