《伤寒贯珠集》为清代医家尤怡所撰。该书采用以六经为纲、治法为目、以方类证的方法，对《伤寒论》原文次序做了重新编排和归类，并进行逐条注解。三阳病以经、腑立论，三阴病以经、脏立论，各篇以法类证，以证论治，这种分类，独辟一门，颇有见地。
本次笺注，以尤怡《伤寒贯珠集》为引，力主从临床应用出发，结合当今伤寒名师写就的手札笔记，从“注文浅释”“医理探微”“临证薪传”“案例犀烛”四个方面，对注文中的医理、辨治思路、应用要点、存在争鸣处进行诠释与解读，使《伤寒论》深厚的理论更加通俗易懂，使读者在名师的点拨下领悟经典的含义，明确方药理论的应用思路。

上海科学技术出版社曾以出版全国高等中医院校第五版中医教材蜚声海内外。先师陈亦人教授撰写的《伤寒论译释》影响数代中医人，出版方亦是上海科学技术出版社。近年来，在中医本科生、研究生《伤寒论》教材编写、出版方面，我们有过数度愉快的合作。
出版社此次新的编纂出版计划，开初着实令我吃惊!要知道，虽然三年前"读经典，做临床"已成为中医界的蔚然之风，但在崇尚"大道至简"、效率至上的时代，所谓的"读经典"实际是有其特定内涵的。以研读经典《伤寒论》为例，在众多人印象中，且不论诵读带笺注的注本，即或连读全本《伤寒论》似乎亦是问题，大家抱怨全本《伤寒论》太厚、责怪现代教材欠精要，干是经方成为当下能迎合人们胃口的"快餐"。这样的背景下，确定编纂出版一套带笺注的《伤寒论》注本，无论对出版社还是对作者其实都是莫大的挑战，需要足够的勇气与底气。
